Kestrel Records
A clinical records interface rebuilt around the ten minutes before an appointment, not the database behind it.

Clinicians told us the same thing in every interview: the problem is not finding a record, it is assembling a picture of a patient in the ninety seconds before they walk in.
The ten minutes before an appointment
So we stopped designing a database front end. The interface opens on a single summary built for that moment — recent changes, current medication, anything flagged — and everything else is one deliberate step away.
Designing for interruption
Every screen assumes it will be abandoned halfway through. State persists, nothing is lost on navigation, and the system never asks a clinician to remember where they were.
